A Spartan is a person who, for whatever reason, is serving a sentence in a Penitentiary Unit, but who is willing to change their life and take advantage of a new opportunity. 

The Spartan signs a commitment agreeing to respect the rules of conduct and coexistence for the good of the group. They demonstrates a spirit of improvement in sports, education and spirituality; learning from their past, enriching themselves in the present and preparing for a better future.
